People do blogging about their journey to Biak, we quote some of them, who did expirences Biak most.
Bahasa Indonesia Entries about Biak:
- First, there was Andreas Harsono who visiting us, June 2006. Under his post “Biak, Militer dan Melanesia”
Malamnya aku pergi makan ikan baronang bakar di sebuah restoran Bugis. Enak sekali. Lalu jalan kaki keliling blok pusat kota.
- Wahyu Wijanarko, Jully 2006. Post few photos about his visit to biak under his post “Biak Numfor Adventure“. Here’s our chief’s favorites:

Wahyu now works in bpde-papua, www.papua.go.id.
- Harris Maulana post “Pulau Biak: Pulau Eksotik” on September 2006:

English Post about Biak:
- Consciousbody(nickname from Dan’s World Travels Journal) post his Complete Travelogue. His entries about Biak is quite reflecting the tourism conditions in Biak nowadays.
In Biak, Papua I had a fun time S.C.U.B.A. diving for a couple of days. A quick note here; many times a local somewhere will ask me how my “holiday” is going. I always think to myself what an incredible journey I’m on and how blessed I am to be on it. But it really doesn’t feel like a holiday, I gotta work for this. And all along I have confirmed the very quote that I coined myself, that being …” The only thing that’s real is what happens, everything else is just a thought”. And for sure I am a traveler and this is very, very different from being a tourist.
- Carolerica post her “Irian Jaya Tips” in Virtual Tourist
More Biak?
As you may notice recently the post in this website isn’t about Biak tourism, there was Jayapura, Sentani, Asmat and Wamena. Yup! we are in the middle of building a blog’s databases about vendors and activities all accros Papua provinces. Putting Biak as tourism Destination is putting Biak once again as the gateway to Papua. We surely want the traveller aim Biak as their destination and plan the papuan explorations on it.
