Albert Fakdawer wins Citra award in Festival Film Indonesia (FFI 2006), for his leading role in Denias, Senandung Diatas Awan.

Denias is also wins 3 awards that night, including the best Cinematography, and the best scripts. Ari Sihasale, the producer said that “We only had a few, but Yudi Datau(the art director) give his amazing works.” celebrating Denias wins.

Prior to FFI 2006, Denias is also awarded The Best movies of the year in JiFest 2006 (Jakarta Film Festival).

“Paling tidak ini bisa memacu Papua untuk bisa lebih maju lagi, sudah saatnya Papua menunjukkan diri untuk bisa dilihat oleh dunia,” Albert was dedicating his work to Papua. He wants Papua to stand-up and be heard.

First and Last

Albert Fakdawer is the first Papuan that wins this awards. Not many Papuan even made into big screens. To bad, Albert which are still in Junior High Schools tell the press that Denias will be his first and last movies, “I’m a singer!” he said.
